Member activity

Regional IChemE member groups are encouraged to take on diversity and inclusion efforts that the most relevant to them. Other initiatives span across IChemE, or in partnership with other organisations.

The IChemE Women's Network is a LinkedIn group for anyone with an interest in issues related to women in chemical engineering. This group is open to everyone.

IChemE is a member of WISE, the Women in Science and Engineering campaign, which gives all our members access to certain resources. Get in touch to find out more.

Diversity and Inclusion Working Group

The IChemE Diversity and Inclusion Working Group brings together several strands of work in this area. 

Since 2016 they have studied the extent to which chemical engineering acts as a vehicle for social mobility in the UK, and examined barriers to entry based on social background. Read their survey reports on the publications page.
