Town Hall meetings

Town Hall meetings take place online twice a year giving members the opportunity to hear from their senior leaders about IChemE's future plans, share their feedback and put questions to the panel. Members are invited to submit questions in advance or ask questions live during the meeting.

For members unable to join the Town Hall meetings, a link to the recording of each session is shared with members via the Member News monthly e-newsletter distributed at the beginning of the month which follows each event.

The last Town Hall session was held on 13 September 2023 with a panel featuring IChemE President Nigel Hirst, Deputy President Mark Apsey and CEO Yvonne Baker, moderated by Congress Chair Rob Peeling. A range of topics were discussed included extending opportunities for career support mentoring, inspiring the next generation through our new education outreach programme 'DiscoverChemEng', value of membership and volunteering opportunities for early career members.
