IChemE worldwide

IChemE is committed to building and sustaining an active international professional community, united by a commitment to qualifications and standards that foster excellence, relevance and esteem and the delivery of benefits to society. We have offices and staff presence in Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Wellington.

We play an active role in a range of regional chemical engineering federations including the European Federation of Chemical Engineering, the Australian and New Zealand Federation of Chemical Engineers and the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering. We are also a member of the World Chemical Engineering Council.

Australia represents 10% of IChemE’s global membership base, making it the third largest on the international membership table.

IChemE in Malaysia was launched in July 2006, with the office in Kuala Lumpur providing services and support to local members.
New Zealand

The members of the Society of Chemical Engineers in New Zealand (SCENZ) voted to become the branch of IChemE in New Zealand in a special general meeting on the 24 November 2009.

Operating since 1995, IChemE in Singapore has an active membership at all levels and is still growing.

More than half of IChemE's members are based in the UK. We have offices in London and Rugby, and a busy line-up of local member groups.
