The Board of IChemE in Singapore announce that the updated constitution of IChemE in Singapore as approved by the members at the AGM was gazetted by the ROS - with amendments on 25-10-18.

This will make the structure and funding of the voluntary activities of IChemE in Singapore as a registered Society under the Societies Act more flexible and a better fit to develop the profession in Singapore.

Since the major change is to remove the fixed monetary values first set when the branch was founded over 21 years ago, replacing them with the requirement for an agreed budget approved by IChemE.

This will also provide a more flexible framework to allow Singapore to fit into a more federal organisational structure, as the IChemE advances worldwide.
