Alina is a second-year chemical engineering student at Swansea University. She chose to take chemical engineering because of its versatility. As a discipline, chemical engineering stretches across pharmaceuticals, food, nuclear energy, cosmetics, water treatment and more! chemical engineering impacts every conceivable area of modern life. As a chemical engineer you can develop a varied skill set and are able to study different concepts from areas like physics, chemistry, economics and even biology which is very exciting.
