Biography

Chris is a Head of the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham and Chair of Heads of Chemical Engineering UK. Heads of Chemical Engineering UK is an independent body of 34 universities teaching chemical engineering working together to share best practice and positively impact the discipline. At the University of Nottingham, Chris is a Professor of Process Engineering with a background in sustainable low carbon process intensification, specifically microwave processing, where he has worked closely with industry over the last 20 years across a range of applications from low carbon steelmaking and mineral processing to food processing and chemical synthesis.
