Biography

Francesco is a Senior Lecturer & Chartered Engineer at Swansea University. Francesco obtained BEng, MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of Naples Federico II. During this time, he was also visiting MSc student at the Leuven Catholic University and a visiting PhD student at Glasgow University.

Francesco was then a postdoctoral scholar at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (Japan), before joining Swansea University. In Swansea, Francesco established the Rheological Microfluidic lab thanks to an EPSRC New Investigator Award grant. The vision of Francesco’s lab is to transform the healthcare diagnostics by coupling microfluidic devices and complex flow properties.
