Andrew Foster

Andrew joined IChemE in September 2021 as Regions Director after a 30 year career in the upstream oil and gas industry developing and leading capital projects in the UK and internationally. He was appointed Director, Strategic Partnerships and Impact in June 2023. 

He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, a Fellow of the IChemE and holds Masters Degree in Project Management from Cranfield University School of Management and a fellowship from the ECITB.  

Andrew brings a breadth of experience having worked across the full value chain from exploration to operations with major operating companies BG Group and JX Nippon as well as in engineering and construction with global contractor KBR, and in project appraisal and concept selection with  premier consultancies Granherne and KBC/Yokogawa, where most recently he headed up an upstream consulting group.
