Rachel Bibby

Rachel joined IChemE in November 2023 and brings a proven track record in strategic leadership of membership organisations, professional learning programmes, not-for-profits and charitable trusts.

Rachel’s background spans a PhD in Microbiology and Biochemistry at The Institute of Food Research UK; to a range of business development roles in HEIs and not-for-profits; and more recently to a series of UK-wide and international senior roles. She is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and Association for Project Management.

For IChemE her priorities focus on driving efforts to innovate and adapt for the benefit of all our members, ensuring that IChemE remains the home of choice for an active, committed, inclusive global member base, and a partner of choice with visibility and influence at the forefront of ensuring a multi-disciplinary approach to global grand challenges.

Rachel’s experience and expertise will be invaluable to meeting departmental goals, objectives and helping IChemE deliver our new strategy28+.

In her own time, Rachel is a GB age-group triathlete and regularly competes all over the world. She is also Chair of Governors at her local primary school and a STEM Ambassador.
