Andrea Hosey

Andrea has over thirty-five years’ experience in process design and project delivery in the energy, chemicals and water market sectors throughout the UK, Australia and South East Asia (Thailand/Vietnam). She has experience in both technical and business management having held positions as chief engineer, process manager and general manager for global consultancy companies including Brown & Root, Worley Parsons and thyssenkrupp.

At thyssenkrupp she held a national management role overseeing staff in multiple offices and projects straddling multiple countries. She has been recognised by Australian Chemical Engineering as a recipient of the Fluor Award of Excellence in Chemical Engineering for ‘exceptional management and leadership that directly resulted in sustained corporate success’ and the Chemeca Medal for services to the profession.

Andrea currently works as a practice managing consultant for Chemicals and Future Fuels and is an active volunteer for the IChemE. Andrea is passionate about student engagement and supporting all engineers in their professional journey through mentoring and professional reviewer roles.
