Rachel is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in high‑hazard, regulated industries, specialising in COMAH governance, operational risk management, and organisational transformation. She has led major organisational redesigns, strengthened competency frameworks, and supported professional development across manufacturing and EHS functions.

Rachel joins the Membership and Qualifications Committee to lead the development and accreditation of technician and apprenticeship pathways. She is committed to widening access to chemical engineering by ensuring that high‑quality, professionally recognised routes are available to people from all backgrounds ,genders and career stages. Her focus is on creating inclusive, flexible pathways that reflect the diversity of the modern workforce and support progression throughout the profession.
