About SABIC in Europe

In Europe, SABIC has 13 world-scale production facilities which manufacture innovative plastics, polyethylenes, polypropylenes and chemical products. Throughout Europe, SABIC employs approximately 5000 people. The main manufacturing sites are at Geleen and Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands, Gelsenkirchen in Germany, Cartagena in Spain, and Teesside in the UK.

SABIC’s European research facilities form part of the global Technology and Innovation organization and are located at Geleen, Bergen op Zoom, Cartagena and Teesside.

The accredited site is SABIC UK Petrochemicals Limited based at Teesside in the UK. The site operates an Olefins cracker, LDPE plant and associated logistics.
