Qingyuan Zheng
Qingyuan Zheng is a Senior Research Associate at the Magnetic Resonance Research Centre (MRRC), based within the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge, UK. He was awarded an Andrew Fellowship in 2019, completing his research in 2023.
The research undertaken during Qingyuan’s Andrew Fellowship focused on achieving experimental characterisations of on Fischer-Tropsch synthesis under the industrial operating conditions of the reaction. He used various NMR methods to provide insights on how composition of wax inside the pores affects diffusion of hydrogen and the specific product distribution, establishing and quantifying the difference between the average carbon number inside the pores and the number found from gas chromatography at the exit.
Qingyuan’s research was published in high-impact factor journal Nature Catalysis in February 2023.
