The Framework for Effective Mentoring template provides a useful framework to support mentoring for members who are preparing to submit their Competence and Commitment report as part of the professional registration process.

Mentors and their mentees may also find the preparatory templates for each stage of the Chartered process useful, to log information before submitting their application.

Mentoring conduct expectations

We expect all of our mentors and mentees to abide by the Mentoring Code of Conduct.  All IChemE members are required to ensure that their conduct aligns with the Code of Professional Conduct.   

Volunteer mentors are also expected to abide by the volunteer conduct principles and policies as outlined in the volunteer handbook.
