Get ready for Chartered Week: A chance to celebrate professional registration

Chartered Week is a national awareness campaign taking place from 24–28 February 2026, dedicated to recognising the enduring value of Chartered professional status across the UK and beyond. The initiative brings together professional bodies, employers, and registered professionals to raise the profile of professional registration, celebrate competence and ethical standards, and inspire others to consider their own registration journey.

The theme for this year’s week is “Celebrating Trusted Professionals,” reflecting the important role that professionals with recognised credentials play in building public confidence, advancing innovation, and maintaining high standards of practice in their fields. Chartered Week offers a unique opportunity for IChemE and its Employer Partners to showcase the value of Chartered status as a benchmark of excellence and professional credibility.

For organisations, Chartered Week presents several ways to engage:

• recognise your Chartered engineers in internal or external communications
• share success stories and career journeys of your Chartered staff
• encourage aspiring professionals in your workforce to explore registration pathways
• use the Chartered Week toolkit of ready-made social posts, badges, and intranet content to raise awareness within your teams and networks.

Employer engagement can support talent development, strengthen retention, and align with organisational commitments to professional standards, ethical conduct, and lifelong learning. Participating in Chartered Week is also a chance to be part of a wider community celebration that stretches across sectors and professions.
