Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability: Support your early-career talent

Do you have early-career engineers in your team with innovative ideas that deserve recognition?
The IChemE Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability (YEAIS) celebrate the achievements of members aged 18–30 who are developing creative solutions in areas such as energy and climate action, digitalisation and AI, process safety, environmental protection, and the circular economy.
YEAIS provides a valuable platform for young professionals to showcase their work, gain international recognition, and build confidence, while giving employers visibility of emerging talent and fresh thinking that can influence real industrial practice. Entry is free and open to eligible IChemE members, making it an accessible development opportunity for graduates and junior engineers.
We encourage managers and team leaders to promote the awards internally and support eligible colleagues in preparing an entry. The submission deadline is Thursday 19 March 2026. IChemE is also hosting Q&A webinars to guide potential entrants through eligibility, themes, and the application process.
In addition, we are seeking event sponsors, offering organisations the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to innovation and sustainability, raise their profile with early-career engineers, and support the development of future industry leaders.
