Overview
This interactive, discussion-based workshop will develop your understanding of the requirements for the third and final stage of the Chartered Chemical Engineer application process. Working with expert IChemE staff, you will explore each of the competence statements and discuss how your experience can be reflected in the context and content of your report – helping you to achieve Professional Registration.
Candidates will receive intensive support from IChemE staff to complete each section of the C&C report that can then be discussed with a mentor or reviewer. Candidates can expect support with developing the report with their peers prior to submission.
Equipment required:
- a laptop, the session will involve talking and typing
- registration and pre-event questions
- complete the document that will be sent in advance of the meeting.
Speaker
Steven Gasser, Associate Director Member Engagement, IChemE
Steven started his career in the manufacturing sector in 1987, and became a technical apprentice. He gained experience in all aspects of the business and occupied the role of technical sales manager.
Moving forward, Steven worked in the metal finishing industry before joining IMechE in 2001 as a business development manager, becoming senior business development manager in 2010. He has extensive experience of working with industry, academia and played a significant role in establishing the IMechE’s presence in India.
Steven then left IMechE in 2012, and joined the MTC with responsibility for the professional development of the engineering community. In 2016, Steven left the MTC and joined NuGen, a nuclear new build project with responsibility for technical and operational training.
Steven joined IChemE in January 2019, and plans to use the skills he developed over his career to help benefit chemical engineers through IChemE.
