Denis is a lecturer in process engineering at University College Cork (UCC). He holds a Certificate in Applied Chemistry and a Diploma in Chemical Technology from the Munster Technological University (MTU), a Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, A Higher Certificate and Diploma in Teaching and Learning and a PhD in Process & Chemical Engineering from UCC.
Denis has extensive experience in teaching chemical engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research is in the area of particle technology specifically with respect to the secondary pharmaceutical manufacture, process design and optimisation and Industry 4.0.
Denis has extensive involvement with IChemE and the wider chemical engineering community. he was the inaugural chair of the All Ireland Member Group (AIMG), and is a current member of the IChemE’s Professional Formation Committee (PFF).
