On 12 June 2023 the YMF LSEC organised the second career talk at a London school. The session took place online at Ashcroft Technology Academy as part of the Virtual STEAM club. The aim of the event was to provide insights from women in Chemical Engineering and inspire the next generation of engineers. Three speakers from energy, water and academic sectors presented their experiences and answered questions from the students. Emphasis was given on how important diversity, inclusion and work/life balance are, as well as that we have the power to shape our own career path. Almost 30 high-school students from Years 7-10 and 12 attended and replied to a Menti survey on what is their idea of Chemical Engineering.
