Overview

This event is an opportunity for IChemE members to visit one of the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) sites at Sidcup. At the heart of Coca-Cola’s GB production, manufacturing and distribution of products is their supply chain function. Operating across Western Europe, Australia, Philippines and Indonesia, CCEP have 5 GB manufacturing sites: Sidcup, Edmonton, Wakefield, Morpeth and East Kilbride. Each location has the capability to produce 100,000 bottles an hour.

Sidcup is amongst the busiest drinks manufacturing sites in Europe, producing around 50% of the GB SKU portfolio and 25% of total volume. Including single source SKUs, Sidcup production includes Aseptic products, three can sizes, and a range of PET sizes. Across their 10 manufacturing lines the site can produce 360,000 cans per hour, 132,000 PET bottles per hour and 48,000 Glass bottles. The site produces both Coca-Cola TM and Monster Energy SKUs.

There will be a unique opportunity for IChemE members to receive a guided tour of the CCEP Sidcup facility with presentations explaining the on-going work at the site. A key part of the tour will be an opportunity for members to see the blending and filling part of the process.

There will also be an opportunity for IChemE members to discuss and share their experiences in this area with the CCEP site technical/process engineers.
