Overview

The 35th edition of SOMChE will take place in 2026 and will be co-organised by the School of Engineering, Sunway University Malaysia, and IChemE Malaysia under the theme “Intelligent and Integrated Chemical Engineering for Global Challenges.” From AI-driven process design and optimisation to circular economy strategies, green materials, low-carbon technologies, and digital twins for plants and cities, the conference will highlight how “intelligence” and “integration” can shape the future of engineering practice.

Through keynote lectures, parallel technical sessions, poster presentations and industry forums, participants will have the opportunity to:

• explore collaborations across disciplines and sectors
• discuss how regulation, policy, and education can keep pace with rapid technological change
