Paula is a hydrogen and CCUS technical specialist at John Crane; a leading supplier of engineering components for the chemicals industry. Prior to that, she was a BECCS project engineer at Drax Group, and previously an Energy Analyst at NexantECA in London, in the subscriptions and reports sector.

She has just completed a PhD at Cranfield University where her research is focused on the use of AI to optimise the production of hydrogen via the sorption-enhanced steam methane reforming process. Prior to her PhD, she worked as a regional technical specialist in the synthetic catalytic activity testing department, in the clean air sector at Johnson Matthey. She received her MSc in advanced chemical engineering from Imperial College London and a BEng from Aston University.
