Kashleta is a dedicated Technical Safety Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a strong passion for process design and safety engineering within the energy sector. She is committed to advancing safe, efficient, and sustainable practices, focusing on integrating safety principles into process design to minimise risks and promote environmental responsibility.
Kashleta earned her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University Malaysia, where she was honoured with the Highly Commended Thesis Award for her pioneering research on the Life Cycle Assessment of Waste Cooking Oil Biodiesel Production. This work exemplifies her ability to apply sustainability principles to complex engineering challenges. During her university years, she was actively involved in the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Badminton Club, balancing academic excellence with leadership and teamwork.
Beyond her technical role, Kashleta is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and diversity within the engineering community. As a committee member of the IChemE National Early Careers Group Malaysia and South East Asia, she contributes to initiatives that promote responsible engineering and support the growth of young professionals. She also hosted YEAIS 2025 and represented Technip Energies at OTCA 2024 and various career fairs, engaging with industry leaders and inspiring the next generation of engineers. A passionate advocate for diversity, Kashleta is committed to breaking down gender barriers in engineering and championing the inclusion and empowerment of women in the field.
