Freya is a student at the University of Birmingham pursuing an MEng in Chemical Engineering with Industrial and International Study. Having completed two years of study, Freya was awarded the Nash Prize for Outstanding Scholastic Performance in her second year. Currently, Freya is undertaking a placement year at Mondelez International, gaining valuable experience in the food engineering industry. Her involvement extends to speaking at the Appetite for Engineering conference and writing a piece for the IFST magazine, sharing insights on entering the food industry as a chemical engineering student and experiences from the Food Engineering Launchpad.

Outside of academic and professional pursuits, Freya enjoys attending music festivals and was an active member of the Hiking Society during her first two years of university. With a passion for the environment and a love for travel, Freya spent a month solo traveling in Bali, volunteering at wildlife conservation centers and participating in beach cleanup initiatives.
