The New Zealand Member Group warmly invites you to join us for the IChemE tour at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (F&P) is a New Zealand-based manufacturer of medical devices for respiratory care and obstructive sleep apnea. The company’s purpose is to improve care and outcomes through inspired and world-leading healthcare solutions. Established in East Tamaki in 2000, F&P has expanded its operations globally, with staff located in 53 countries.

The East Tamaki location serves as the centre for F&P’s research and development activities and manufactures a full range of products used in hospitals and for home care. This tour, open to up to 20 participants, will feature a presentation on F&P’s history, product range, overview and observation of manufacturing plants and manufacturing processes, along with guided walkthroughs of the manufacturing plants, advanced laboratories, model shops, and maker spaces.

The tour will be guided by product development engineers and operations engineers with expertise in chemical and materials engineering. F&P looks forward to welcoming IChemE members and showcasing its unique manufacturing processes. Food and light refreshments will be provided.

Agenda

• 17:30 – Arrival and welcome by Ben and Joseph at the Stewart Building reception
• 17:45 – Presentation on history, products, and manufacturing processes. Light refreshments will be provided
• 18:00 – Guided tour of manufacturing plants A, B, and C
• 18:20 – Tour of the Stewart Model shops and maker spaces
• 18:40 – Concluding remarks and Q&A session, followed by light refreshments
