Overview

During November 2024, IChemE members made their first tentative steps towards establishing a presence at the annual UlverSTEM Careers Fair. This is a longstanding and highly regarded event for 6-16 year olds and their families, held on a Saturday in Ulverston, Cumbria.

This year, the approach is to have a joint IChemE stand with the Cumbria Member Group, North Lancashire Member Group, and Lancaster Uni and Kendal College. The theme of the stand will be "We are all Sustainability Goal Scorers".

We would like to organise a bigger and even more diverse IChemE membership presence at UlverSTEM 2025 to be held this coming November.

So if you, your colleagues, or your employer think you can help, please sign up as a volunteer. There will be a kick off meeting in May held to agree what opportunities for the IChemE stand will be developed and by whom.
