Overview

We are seeking new volunteers to reinvigorate our member groups across the North West region. As we continue to raise the profile of IChemE and stimulate activity post-Covid, we would like you to help us deliver the exciting programme of activities that we have planned.

Volunteering is at the heart of IChemE. The Institution exists to advance chemical engineering's contribution worldwide for the benefit of society, and the ability to deliver such a bold undertaking relies heavily on our community of volunteers who fulfil many functions across IChemE.

If you are passionate about chemical, biochemical or process engineering, why not join thousands of other professionals and volunteer with us?

Volunteering provides an interesting and rewarding opportunity to develop personal skills and network with other professionals, as well as the opportunity to positively support the advancement of chemical engineering.

It is widely accepted that volunteering will help you meet new people, learn new skills, contribute to your continuing professional development (CPD), and even advance your career.

One such cluster of volunteers is found in the North West. There are close to 3,000 members across the North West and in order to continue to provide activities for members, the group needs to secure the support of additional volunteers for the coming year. You don’t have to be Chartered and you don’t have to be a long serving member. It also doesn't matter where in the North West you are based. Our member group volunteers are drawn from all membership types. Student Members to Fellows, all are welcome.

If you have a little time to give, it would be fantastic if you could contribute to your Institution.

Please come along to this session to get an insight into the benefits of volunteering - especially in a member group.

Speakers
