Tom conducts experimental and financial modelling research relating to the process engineering of biomass and filtration problems. He is the coordinator of the Chemical Process Engineering Major at QUT and serves as a committee member of the Queensland Joint Chemical Engineering Committee (IChemE). He is a winner of The Caltex Award for excellence in chemical engineering education and the Sugar Research Development Corporation Award.
