Overview
This talk is an overview of creeping change types, risks and prevention drawing on real-life examples. Case-studies include the San Bruno Gas Pipeline Explosion in the US as well as two cases from the presenter's career: an offshore NGL leak and an onshore fractionation train upset. Detection and prevention techniques for creeping change will be discussed in the webinar.
This meeting will also be the annual meeting of the IChemE US Gulf Coast Member Group with election of committee members for 2023.
Speaker
Ian Robertson, Chief Process Engineer, Kent plc
Ian Robertson is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of industrial experience. He spent 20 years working in the UK, prior to moving to Houston in 2010, where he became a licensed P.E. in both Texas and Alaska. Ian has successfully managed process engineering departments at two separate engineering consultancies and is currently Chief Process Engineer at Kent plc.
