Overview

The JVCEC invites you to the final event of the year. Join us for an evening of drinks, canapés, and professional connections. Our guest speaker, Dannae Campbell, Principal Process Safety Analyst at WorkSafe VIC, will deliver a talk on Mastering Hydrogen – Investigating Regulatory Best Practice on the Safe Handling of Hydrogen and Ammonia at Large Scale.

Speaker

Dannae Campbell, Principal Process Safety Analyst, WorkSafe VIC

Dannae is a process safety expert with extensive experience in the development and implementation of major hazard facility safety case regulation and assessment. In fulfilling this role, she achieves her ambitions of protecting the community from large-scale catastrophic chemical incidents.

In 2024, Dannae was awarded the prestigious Churchill Fellowship which sponsored a project to support Australia’s aim to decarbonise its energy systems with a focus on hydrogen/ammonia storage and handling. Dannae travelled to Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands, UK and USA to learn how regulatory agencies, industry, government and communities are managing the key safety risks with hydrogen and ammonia.

Safe workplaces deliver community safety, through reduced major hazard incidents. When facilities can safely manage their risks, the local communities around the facilities are safer and more prosperous. With better regulation, the industry has certainty for decision-making in investments.
