JCEC (WA) postgraduate excellence award
The Joint Chemical Engineering Committee (JCEC) of Western Australia holds the annual postgraduate research excellence award near the start of each year. The purpose of the award is to showcase some of the best chemical engineering research being conducted by postgraduate students in WA universities. Finalists from each participating university give a presentation about their research and then answer questions from the audience.
The presentations are judged by a panel of industry and academic personnel using four criteria: significance to chemical engineering, application in industry, novelty and presentation quality.
The award is supported by IChemE, Engineers Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia.
Entries are coordinated by each university’s chemical engineering staff and are opened around November each year. Please contact your university or the JCEC secretary for details.
