Akin is currently Head of Process Scale-Up at Ivy Farm (a cultivated meat company), translating their bench-scale manufacturing process to industrial scales. A Chartered Engineer, Akin has over a decade of experience translating life science discoveries into commercially viable products. Akin’s career has spanned industry and academia. He has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, as well as an MSc and PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London.
