Akinlolu Odeleye
Akin is a chartered chemical engineer, who’s expertise extends to biopharma, cell therapy and the novel food industry. He has over a decade of experience translating life science discoveries into commercially viable products. Akin's career path started as Bioprocess Consultant Engineer at Biopharm Services, followed by post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford where he developed innovative bioreactors for cell therapy applications. He also worked at Adaptimmune as a Senior Scientist, developing manufacturing processes for cancer T cell therapies. Most recently, as Head of Bioprocessing and Head of Process Scale-Up at Ivy Farm Technologies, Akin has led teams of engineers and scientists to develop and scale Ivy Farm’s manufacturing process for cell-based meat. Akin has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, as well as an MSc and PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London.
