Sol joined the University of Sheffield in 2015, where he heads a leading research group developing high-fidelity and complexity-based approaches to process modelling, analysis and optimisation, with a particular focus on clean energy technologies and systems. Through this work he has published more than 100 papers in top journals and peer-reviewed conferences, and worked with a range of industrial and government stakeholders to support decision making.
