Chua Choon Hong, a professional chemical engineer and Chartered Chemical Engineer with 20 years of experience in ammonia - reforming synthesis technology and process engineering design. Currently, Chua holds the position as technical professional (Staff Engineer - Ammonia Reforming Synthesis) in PETRONAS.

Chua obtained the degree in Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He is a registered professional engineer by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM), Chartered engineer by Engineering Council, UK, chartered member in Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and corporate member in Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).

Throughout his career, Chua has worked on various projects including retrofitting plant process for production increment and redesigning plant equipment for process optimisation. He has improved plant energy efficiency, production volume through creep test and minimizing waste generation and flaring.

Chua is networking with other professionals in the field and sharing his experience. He is the CAPE SIG lead in IChemE Malaysia. He is also a core team member in PETRONAS CHEMICALS Group (PCG) Fertilizer and Methanol (F&M) network group.
