Overview
In industrial settings, efficient heat transfer processes play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of various thermal systems. Heat transfer is a fundamental aspect of numerous industrial applications, including power generation, chemical processing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, and manufacturing processes.
Effective management of heat transfer phenomena is crucial for maintaining equipment reliability, maximising energy efficiency, and ensuring product quality. However, the complexity of industrial thermal systems often presents challenges in accurately predicting and optimising heat transfer processes. In this webinar, we will delve into the utilisation of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for optimising industrial thermal systems within the framework of Industry 4.0. CFD emerges as a pivotal tool for analysing fluid flow and heat transfer dynamics, offering invaluable insights into system performance and energy efficiency.
The session will elucidate the CFD modeling process, encompassing problem definition, mesh generation, model selection, and result interpretation. Through a comprehensive case study focusing on a heat exchanger, attendees will witness the practical application of CFD in predicting temperature profiles, pressure gradients, and flow behaviours, thereby facilitating informed decision-making for system optimisation. Ultimately, the webinar underscores the transformative potential of CFD in driving efficiency improvements and advancing industrial practices in the Industry 4.0 landscape.
