Catalysis and Reaction Engineering
About us
IChemE's Catalysis Special Interest Group, launched in 2008, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas in catalyst research.
The objectives of the Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Special Interest Group are to:
- encourage researchers and industrialists working in catalysis and reaction engineering to liaise and exchange information, and to develop and share best practice
- motivate academics to focus on fulfilling the current needs and requirements of industrial catalytic and reaction processes
- explore the preparation and application of catalysts, enhanced reaction conditions, and innovative reactors to new routes for the manufacture of chemicals, to methods of gasification and, not least, to sociological and environmental demands for the usage of these
- provide postgraduate students with the opportunity to participate in high quality research meetings in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
