David completed his PhD at the University of Manchester using process analytical techniques to characterise chemical vapour deposition reactor systems in 2010. Following this he worked as research and development engineer for several years, before moving back into academia at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research interests are in the reaction engineering of plasma systems for a wide variety of applications, from water treatment to advanced materials production.
