This is the second webinar of three-part series Industrial flexibility: From potential to participation.

James Kerr from NESO Power Responsive will explain why the electricity system needs demand-side flexibility and how industrial sites can begin participating. The session will cover the main routes to market, the roles of suppliers and aggregators, and the practical expectations for metering, telemetry, baselines, verification and operational readiness.

Attendees will understand the main participation routes, the evidence expected before entry, and the questions industrial sites should ask suppliers, aggregators and technology providers.

James Kerr, Power Responsive Engagement Lead, NESO

James Kerr is the Power Responsive Engagement Lead at the National Energy System Operator. He leads engagement for Power Responsive, NESO's programme helping businesses understand and participate in electricity-system flexibility. He works with large energy users, suppliers and aggregators to bring new capacity into the system—and making flexibility something that’s easy to understand, access, and act on.
