Overview

In this session you'll hear from IChemE about the latest updates to the requirements, criteria and application process to advancing your professional status to IChemE Fellow. We also have two speakers from the Food, Pharmaceutical, Water and Biochemical industry to share their experiences and explain the benefits from their point of view. There will be time after the presentation for any questions you may have.

Speakers

Victoria Darcy, Regional Engagement Manager, IChemE

Victoria is focused on building relationships and developing engagement opportunities with all IChemE members – from university students to Fellows of the Institution. Victoria is engaged with stakeholders at all levels, working with universities, organisations and active groups of IChemE Members to foster relationships that result in support for Chartered applications. Victoria is knowledgeable on all aspects of the membership benefits and particularly enjoys working with individuals at varying stages of their careers.

Vaughan Thomas

Vaughan's career in biotechnology spans 30 years, encompassing fermentation development, technical support to purification operations, facility and process design, and start-up consultancy. In 2010, he set up Tillingbourne Consulting providing services to production operations on process alternatives. Vaughan holds undergraduate and doctorate degrees in biochemical engineering from University College London and is a Fellow of IChemE.

Simon Lawton, Senior Principle Engineer, PepsiCo Global Foods R&D

Simon has broad experiences in process industries including process development activities, capital projects, and plant support with a strong track record in the delivery of creative solutions to complex technical problems at the chemistry / materials / engineering interface. He has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Bath and a Master degree in process technology and management from University of Strathclyde. Simon is also a Fellow of IChemE.
