Post Graduate Conference Support Grant
What is the aim of the prize?
The Mining and Minerals Special Interest Group (M&M SIG) Post‑Graduate Conference Support Grant exists to encourage and support emerging researchers (ECRs) and post‑graduate students in fields aligned with chemical engineering and the mining and minerals industries. The grant provides financial assistance for eligible students to attend and present their research at relevant conferences.
Who is it awarded to?
This policy applies to post‑graduate students enrolled in degree programs eligible for IChemE membership who are presenting at conferences relevant to the mining and minerals sector. The grant is administered by the Mining and Minerals Special Interest Group Committee.
What is the prize and how many are awarded?
A maximum of £500 per applicant per conference may be awarded. Funding is provided as reimbursement for eligible expenses, supported by receipts. Eligible expenses include registration fees, accommodation, and travel costs. Expenses must be personally incurred by the applicant.
How do I enter?
The application window is now open.
To enter, complete the application form and email an executive summary (maximum 3,000 words, written in English) to specialinterestgroups@icheme.org.
In addition, you may send a pdf of the full project report (maximum 300 pages, written in English) to specialinterestgroups@icheme.org.
