Introduction

POPSIG-MPOC Palm Oil Infographic Competition is organised by POPSIG, and co-organised and sponsored by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). The competition aimed to promote forward-thinking approach that helps develop proactive solutions to the challenges that may arise in the future.

Overview

A group of 13 students visited Sime Darby Plantation to present the innovations to the industrial players. The event aimed to foster technological exchange between the students and the industrial representatives.

Three presentations were presented by the participants:

• The rise of Malaysian palm oil as a photonutrient powerhouse - by Sharvani A/P Karthigesu, Chang Jia Heng, Tee Qiao Er (Universiti Malaya)
• Your palm's triple-P future - by Lim Jia Yang, Adam Loh Ee Xian, Ng Chiu Hwi (Universiti Malaya)
