Particle Technology
Alex Munnoch
Alex’s research is focused on the impacts of physicochemical properties (and their evolution) during manufacturing processes and how this impacts process and equipment design/selection. He graduated with BSc Hons and PhD degrees in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, with his thesis on Methanol dehydration using MFI (zeolites/zeotypes): The role of framework composition and binder.
Alex currently represents Johnson Matthey’s interests in the International Fine Particle Research Institute (IFPRI), the TUSAIL EU Horizon 2020 MSCA Innovative Training Network, several current and historical EPSRC-funded PhD studentships and the now finished University of Leeds CP3 CDT. Alex was awarded his RSC Chartership in Chemistry in 2022.
Alex is the secretary of the IChemE Particle Technology Special Interest Group (PTSIG).
