Overview

Autonomous operations is the final stage of industrial autonomy, representing an ideal state where operations function with complete autonomy throughout a value chain. Autonomous operations can be defined as assets and operations that have human like learning and adaptive capabilities that allow them to respond without operator interaction to situations within a secure bounded domain that are not pre-programmed or anticipated in the design and that are responsible for all safety-critical functions. In a fully autonomous operation (no human intervention required), the cognitive system performs all aspects of the operation.

Autonomous operations involves many facets, one of these facets is industrial AI. IA2IA is what Yokogawa foresees as the transition from Industrial Automation to Industrial Autonomy. This webinar presents an introductory overview of Yokogawa’s IA2IA and then takes a deep dive into its autonomous Control AI.

Dave is a Principal Technology Strategist at Yokogawa. Prior to Yokogawa, Dave worked for Rockwell Automation, DDA Ltd and Heron Research Ltd. Dave has a degree from West Country University.

Keiichiro Kobuchi, DX Services Division Head and Executive Officer, Yokogawa

Keiichiro works for Yokogawa Digital corporation as DX Services Division Head, Executive Officer. Prior to this he was Vice Center Head / AI Business Senior Manager, AI Business Development Senior Manager and various senior software development roles.
