Dr Panos Topalis is the Product Manager of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) software within DNVGL. Panos worked on the development of risk assessment software packages for the Oil & Gas industry and gave numerous training courses about RBI, API 581 and QRA.

Panos graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1981 and subsequently went to France for a PhD on process thermodynamics. He also worked at Imperial College, London, British Gas and ERM.

In DNVGL, he initially developed consequence analysis models for PHAST and then on RBI. He has also organised technical meetings for IChemE in Integrity Management, Ageing Installations, Consequence Modelling and RBI.
