Amanda has enjoyed working in the water industry since 2001, in Australia and the United Kingdom.  

Based in Edinburgh, Amanda is Europe Process Discipline head and Regional Wastewater Lead for Jacobs Water & Environment. Leading a team of 35 UK and Ireland process engineers, Amanda enjoys working across water and wastewater sectors at all stages of project life within the UK, Ireland and throughout the world. The past 11 years have been with Jacobs - prior to that she was with Black & Veatch in Bristol and she started her career with SKM and KBR in Brisbane, Australia. She is passionate about the benefits of urgent action given our global climate crisis and very significant water challenges of today and tomorrow. She enjoys continued learning and sharing, the challenges of stepping outside comfort zones, supporting STEM initiatives and advancing to a more diverse, inclusive Water Industry.

Amanda started a two year working holiday in Europe after a few years post-graduate work in Australia and,14 years later, has found it an enjoyable and rewarding experience, complete with partner, two young children and a mortgage. She also enjoys all things food and volunteers for a local community greengrocer and will escape for surf on the East Coast when she has the chance.
