IWA Climate Smart Utilities

IWA Climate Smart Utilities Initiative is championing stories, best practices and technologies that could inspire the utilities and wider water professional community in the transition towards being Climate Smart on the three interconnected pillars of climate action: Adaption, Mitigation, and Leadership. This Initiative is structured around 4 components:

• A Community of Practice around mitigation to climate change to support bridging science and practice and trigger the necessary cultural shifts and actions;

• A Utility Leaders' exchange programme to drive decision-making towards Climate Smart (Utility Leaders Forum);

• A Web Platform - a digital library to share resources and contribute to the wider dissemination of the change agenda; and

• A Climate Smart Recognition Programme - to inspire utilities on their journey to become Climate Smarter.
