Overview

Mixing is a critical activity at every water treatment works. Getting it wrong can result in disinfection failures, poor coagulation/flocculation/filtration resulting in cryptosporidium breakthrough, corrosion or scaling, control and plant failure, excessive chemical use and sludge production, resulting in unnecessary costs.

Martin Currie, Water Quality & Treatment Consultant, Aqueum

Martin is a Water Quality & Treatment consultant, with a passion for potable water.  He is currently working on e-learning solutions for the UK water industry and developing world NGOs. 

He has been an active member of IChemE’s Water SIG since his PhD days (Imperial & WRc), a member of the committee since 2006 and chair since 2017.
