Geoff Gill

Geoff spent all his working life at the Springfields Nuclear Fuel manufacturing plant in Lancashire. Prior to this he gained a BSc at Leeds University, and an MSc in Radiological Health and Safety at Salford University.

At Springfields he trained as a Health Physicist, but spent much of his career leading a team of safety assessors, who prepared safety cases for the Springfields plants. In the last seven years of his career, he was the Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Director.

He is currently an Independent Member on the Springfields Fuels Limited and Urenco UK Limited Nuclear Safety Committees. He has been involved in delivering IChemE’s Fundamentals of Nuclear Safety course in addition to other Post Graduate safety courses.
