Iqbal Essa

Iqbal, a former Chair of the LPB Panel, is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, Chartered Chemist, and Chartered Scientist with over 35 years of leadership experience in process safety, fire and explosion management, and occupational health.

A former HM Principal Specialist Inspector (HSE), he has extensive expertise in leading multidisciplinary major incident investigations and providing strategic advice on COMAH, LPG, and DSEAR compliance.

He is deeply committed to integrity, safety, and the continuous advancement of excellence in education and regulatory practice.
