Chartered Scientist (CSci)
Chartered Scientists (CSci) are registered with the Science Council and represent professional scientists working in the UK and abroad. Leading teams and departments, they use their specialist knowledge and broader scientific understanding to develop and improve the application of science and technology.
Chartered Scientist registration reflects the wide variety of sciences and their practice, recognising high levels of skill and experience, independent of discipline. Once registered, you must maintain your status through meeting continuing professional development (CPD) requirements each year.
Chartered Scientists can demonstrate:
- application of knowledge and understanding
- personal responsibility
- interpersonal skills
- professionalism, and
- professional standards.

CSci registration is available to Chartered Members and Fellows.
